Email Gateway Account

Request an email account to use with the APRStac Email Gateway feature.

About the Email Gateway

The APRStac Email Gateway allows your station to send and receive emails over APRS radio. When a station sends an APRS message addressed to an email address, the gateway forwards it as an email. When a reply is received via email, the gateway delivers it back to the station as an APRS message over RF.

This feature requires a dedicated IMAP/SMTP mail server. Major providers like Gmail, Hotmail, and Yahoo are not supported due to their restrictions on third-party IMAP/SMTP access. If you do not have your own mail server, you may request an APRStac-hosted email account below.

Rules of Use

  • Accounts are intended exclusively for APRS-to-Email and Email-to-APRS traffic through the APRStac gateway feature.
  • Do not use the account for personal email, mailing lists, newsletters, or any purpose other than APRS gateway operations.
  • Do not send unsolicited or bulk email from the account.
  • You must hold a valid amateur radio license to request an account.
  • One account per callsign. Sharing accounts between operators is not permitted.
  • Accounts that are inactive for an extended period may be removed.

Important

  • Submitting a request does not guarantee you will be granted an account.
  • Accounts may be revoked at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.
  • This is a community service provided at no cost or for a small fee at the discretion of the operator.
